Quick Tips for the Online Social Hall

The Four Most Important Things

You Need to Know How to Do on

Old First’s Online Social Hall

Our Online Community for Members and Close Friends

1) Log in

To log in, click here and type in your email address/username and your password.

2) Add or update your profile picture. Our Online Photo Directory will be more useful if EVERYONE’S photo is included!

Mouse over my bigtent (at the top of the screen) and select settings. From that screen, select personal info from the menu on the left.

Click change next to the picture and upload a new picture. Be sure to click Save at the bottom of the screen when you are finished.

3) Change your notification settings. You can tell the Online Social Hall whether you’d like to receive every message in your email inbox, just get one email once a day with any new messages lumped together, or visit the Online Social Hall to view the messages online. Note that you can select different notification settings for each of your subgroups, if you like.

We strongly urge you to select Email every message and comment so you don’t miss any announcements.

Mouse over my bigtent (at the top of the screen) and select email settings. Use the check boxes to select your subgroups, then scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Email every message and comment from the pull-down menu. Click Save.

4. Edit or update your contact information. We’re relying on YOU to keep your contact information up to date so other Old Firsters can be in touch.

Mouse over my bigtent (at the top of the screen) and select settings. From that screen, select contact info from the menu on the left. Be sure to click Save at the bottom of the screen when you are finished.

Now that you’ve updated the contact information in the database, you need to say how much information you would like displayed to the other members of the Online Social Hall.

Select profile privacy from the menu on the left. Click on the check boxes to select items you would like displayed to other Old Firsters. Then use the pull down menu to select each separate subgroup that you are a member of (e.g. choir, young adults, etc.). Be sure to click Save at the bottom when you’re finished.
