Old First Goes Tubing Down the Delaware River (09.07)

Old First Goes Tubing Down the Delaware River (09.07)

As the end of Summer and celebration of the arrival of the new YASC Community Ministers, Tim & Clara we will be going tubing on the Delaware River on Sunday, Sept. 7. Everyone is welcome to join us for what is becoming an annual event.  Who doesn’t want a lazy afternoon of floating down the Delaware River in an inner tube?  An afternoon with your people from church in bathing suits!!! How can you resist?

We’ll leave church after worship, by about 11:15 am.  Delaware River Tubing is located in Frenchtown, NJ. And we hope to be there by about 1 p.m. The float trip lasts about 3 to 4 hours on the river. And there is lunch included mid-float, with the famous River Hot Dog Man (and picnic tables in the water). We should be back at church by dinner time.

Bring a swimsuit and a towel, and a brown-bag snack (lunch won’t be until about 2:30 pm). And sturdy shoes that can get wet.  The recommendation is laced tennis shoes.  Crocks, flip flops and water shoes are NOT recommended because they can be dangerous on the Rocky River bed.  The cost of admission and with some money the drivers for gas will be $35. (We are looking for adults and drivers to go with us).

Let the church office know if you want to get wet and have some fun.

Everyone who is going tubing will need to sign a waiver form—please read, sign and bring along!
