The Parcel Committee is now beginning to do site visits to projects of the developers they are considering for recommendations to the church for a possible redevelopment of the property along 4th Street.
They wish to look for some very specific information as they consider the different developers and their proposals. Next Friday, a site-visit team will spend the middle part of the day — roughly 10:30 until 3:30 pm visiting 4 or 5 sites of 2 different developers to inspect the their buildings (both renovated structures and new buildings) on design and maintenance, and also to see the quality of the social services they provide their residents.
While ideal would be if the members of the Parcel could all be free for these visits, that is not practical or possible. So we are creating an ad hoc site visit team for these visits. That team will then meet with the Parcel Committee to report back their observations and findings.
The site visit team will meet at church at 9:45 and drive together. The visits to each developer’s sites should take about an hour and a half. There should be time for a quick lunch together between visiting the two developers. We should return to the church by 4 pm at the latest. If you are interested in joining the ad hoc site visit team and touring these two developers’ projects, please speak with Michael.
