A reminder: Gifts still needed for Old First’s Alternative Christmas Gift Giving

It’s already the second week of December. By now, most of you have finished your holiday shopping (or are frantically trying to finish). While thinking of those last few gifts you need to purchase, think of also adding a gift for the men at our shelter. We have already received much of what we asked for and are very grateful for that. However we are still in need as the deadline approaches.

We want to help spread the joy of Christmas to the men in our shelter. When thinking of giving a gift to that impossible person, think of instead giving a gift to one of the men in our shelter in their honor. If you give in honor of someone, you need to tell us the name and address of the person you mean us to send a Christmas card telling them that you have given a gift to one of the residents in our shelter in their honor.

There are two ways to get involved. The first is that you can bring the present directly to the church office by December 20th. If you don’t want to shop, we can do it for you! You would need to bring the money for the gifts by December 17th.

Along with these gifts, we also need some other things to make this possible. We would like to give each man a pair of gloves, a scarf, and a hat along with their gifts. We also need either wrapping paper or small gift bags.

A table will be set up during social hour for you to sign up. You can also sign up at www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0D44ADAD23A02-alternative.
