A Smashing Hit — An Afternoon of Broadway

A Smashing Hit — An Afternoon of Broadway

On September 23rd the sanctuary was transformed into a theater. Our very own Miguel Angel Alvarado and his very talented friends created a Broadway musical that we should all be proud of. Guests came in from across the Delaware Valley to support the performers, their friends and our outreach ministries. Tickets were sold for $10 per person, with discounts for seniors and children. Several people commented that the quality of the performance exceeded the price and gave extra donations! What a hit!

There were costume changes and musical theme transitions that made you feel like you were really on Broadway. The praise dancer, Patricia, was a great addition to the singing and instrumentals. All of the performers donated their time and skill to benefit our Cupboard and Shelter and it was a success! The concert raised approximately $1,000 for the outreach ministries of Old First!

Special thank you who volunteered their time to make this concert happen: Miguel Angel Alvarado, Michelle Gish, Hobart W. Spears III, Patricia Dogma, Ross Garlow, Adam George, Lorena Haberern, Anthony Andoluci, Holly Hobson-Newberry, Shelly Eberhart. Wellspring appreciates you bringing your talents to support our mission.
