The Adult Forum will meet this, as almost every, Sunday, in the Social Hall, at 10 a.m.
After a few weeks of Wanda, as Team Leader of the Worship SLG, leading the discussion about sacred space, how it’s arranged, and what that allows us to do in our space and what it says about our beliefs about God, Alice will facilitate an informational conversation circle this Sunday.
Her basic question will be to ask people to share what changes, if any, they might like to see in the sanctuary. This conversation circle will be our broadening the conversation about how we might reorganize the Sanctuary so that it might be better suited for our faithful practice (what we already do in worship as well as what we wish to be able to do) and our theological understandings.
Alice will be using the conversation circle format introduced to Old First by our Dialogue Facilitators, the group that’s taken up the responsibility of making our Conflict Resolution Policy operationally effective. This conversation circle will be for many their first introduction to this new offering and capability for our life together at Old First.
