In Adult Forum this week, we outlined our lives and our identities in a quite literal way. Taking stencils, colored pencils, and some glitter from the church’s pile of kids crafts, we made visual representations of the “6 words” that framed our previous session lead by Delilah Morrow. We explained why we chose certain words, certain symbols and certain colors to represent our varied paths that continue to change as we walk them. This opened the door for some surprising, funny, and moving insights. We spent so much time coloring and drawing (a good thing for adults to do occasionally!) that we didn’t get to an activity planned about reading spiritual memoir.
So, this week we will devote the entire session to reading excerpts together and doing a writing exercise that that will challenge us to articulate more about our faith journeys and identities than can fit in 6 words. We welcome you to join us.
