Yes, it almost always seems too close on the heels of Thanksgiving. But this week begins Advent, the four Sundays in preparation for Christmas. It’s also the beginning of a new liturgical church year (yes, in this regard, the church always gets a head start on the world).
We will light the first candle of the Advent wreath “for the prophets who had a vision of God’s light to come.” The sermon will be about “Where Do You Perceive God Breaking In.” And you will notice that the music and the colors of the liturgical season all change. And before worship, Bob Robinson will be leading his traditional Advent Bible Study.
Please plan to join us, and if you wish, invite a friend to get a new start with us too.
