Christmas is quickly approaching. The hunt is on for the “perfect gifts” for our loved ones. But not everyone is easy to shop for. And most of us have that one person who is nearly impossible to find something for. They are the person who seems to have everything they could ever want.
And that is where our alternative gift giving comes in. We want to help spread the joy of Christmas to the men in our shelter. When thinking of giving a gift to that impossible person, think of instead giving a gift to one of the men in our shelter in their honor.
We’ve asked the men to write down two items that are around $25. These gifts range from gift cards to coats or shoes. You can sponsor as many gifts as you’d like in honor of someone in your life, or just give a gift to give to someone in need.
There are two ways to do this. The first is that you can bring the present directly to the church office by December 20th. If you don’t want to shop, we can do it for you! You would need to bring the money for the gifts by December 17th.
Along with these gifts, we also need some other things to make this possible. We would like to give each man a pair of gloves, a scarf, and a hat along with their gifts. We also need either wrapping paper or small gift bags.
A table will be set up during social hour for you to sign up. You can also sign up at www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0D44ADAD23A02-alternative.
Either way, you need to tell us the name and address of the person you mean us to send a Christmas card, telling them that you have given a gift to one of the residents in our shelter in their honor.
