Alternative Gift follow-up

Alternative Gift follow-up

Thanks to everyone who has purchased an alternative gift or donated items to Wellspring. We were able to provide backpacks to the guests at our Food and Clothing Cupboard and the shelter. The bags were filled with long underwear, hats, gloves, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes, rag, razor and soap! This project couldn’t have been made possible without the support and donations from St. Luke’s (Ottsville), Glenside UCC, St. Andrew’s UCC (Perkasie) and St. John’s UCC (Riegelsville). These churches donated many of the items that went into the bags.

All of our guests were excited and grateful for the gifts that we provided for them.

Thirty remaining backpacks were filled and donated to our sister shelter, St. Mary’s Episcopal, on Christmas Eve so that there guests could have gifts as well. The guests there were very appreciative as well.

Wellspring will continue collecting backpacks and alternative gifts until January 8th.
