Our architectural firm, KSK Architects, Planners, Historians, Inc. has been at work assessing our buildings from top to bottom. Paul Vernon and Philip Scott have been exploring everything from the roof to the boiler room, from the exterior fabric to all interior spaces. They have also had an acoustic engineer, a lighting person, and a mechanical engineer on-site to assist them.
As a result of their exploration, they will provide us with a list of priorities that will need our attention immediately and into the coming years. An example of their inventiveness is a way to redesign the brick walk to make our church building easily accessible from the exterior without the need of a ramp and railing. They have begun sketching possible reconfigurations of our chancel area and sanctuary space. Stay tuned for more details.
We expect a complete report, including costs, by sometime in June.
