Ash Wednesday Taizé Service — Wed., Feb. 14 @ 7 p.m.

Please join us as we gather for an intimate, candle-lit service of prayer, readings, silent meditation and simple songs and chants. This simple, traditional service in the French Taizé tradition is a deeply meaningful way in which to begin our reflective and contemplative season of Lent.

This will be a time in which we can each experience God in our midst and feel Spirit transcending the ordinary as we sing simple, repetitive songs and chants, reflect on selected readings, and immerse ourselves into an extended period of silent prayer.

There will be a special time in which all will be invited to receive the traditional imposition of ashes, as we leave in silence into the night, mindful of our own mortality and the gift of grace given by God in his son, Jesus Christ.

Consider sharing this story with loved ones and friends by way of inviting them. You may pass along this flyer with the details. And maybe post the flyer in your neighborhood.

See you in church,

Holly Phares, Artist-in-Residence
