The Atlantic Coast Opera Festival is gearing up for the 2011 season production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s great Masterpiece Le Nozze Di Figaro, led by internationally acclaimed, up and coming Croatian conductor, Maestro Miran Vaupotić. Le Nozze Di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro, or The Day of Madness) is an opera buffa (comic opera) composed in 1786 in four acts.

The company has been practicing every day for three weeks at Old First, June 20 through July 9 from 2 – 10 p.m. Arias are being heard at 4th & Race!

A donation of $5.00 will be taken at the door and will benefit Old First’s Wellspring Ministries (our Food and Clothing Cupboard, our Shelter, our Urban Service Camps). Bring a pop-top can of food for our Cupboard and pay only $3.00 at the door.

Mark your calendars: the Atlantic Coast Opera Festival will perform in South Jersey and Delaware County, PA July 14-23 (specifics on their venues will be added to this article as soon as they are available). The matinee performance on July 23 will benefit our Wellspring Ministries.
