A number of the center-city congregations involved in P.O.W.E.R. have organized to get to know one another better. Community organizing is, after all, about the strength that comes of building new and deeper relationships that allow us to work together on issues of common interest.
These congregations include:
Arch Street United Methodist
St. Peter’s Episcopal
Mother Bethel AME
Rodeph Shalom
A Fun and Fellowship Potluck is planned for the evening of August 23, to be held at Rodeph Shalom on North Broad Street. More details will be forthcoming this week. But please add the event to your calendars, and let Michael know if you are interested in attending.
Old First folks have been asked to bring casseroles (with no pork or shellfish per Kosher dietary restrictions).
Rodeph Shalom is easily accessible by public transportation. They also have a big parking lot. And we can arrange rides, if necessary.
Join us for an interesting gathering on a late summer evening.
