While at Michael’s sending off party at Woody’s last weekend, the conversation turned to sewing crafts. You may or may not know that a decent percentage of Old Firsters are sewers. Delilah told us about several of her quilts, Woody showed off photos of his technique, Michael shared his quilting story of woe and I am just getting started on my quilting journey (after some failed attempts to crochet which I hope to remedy). It should also be known that Teresa, our office administrator, is a talented quilter! Our small group began talking about others in the church that also quilt, crochet, or knit and perhaps there is a desire for group projects or just spending time together helping one another along on our sewing craft adventures.
Perhaps you would like to get together for a few hours of crafting and share your talents or learn from the experts among us? I would like to schedule a meeting for some time in June but want to gauge availability and interest first. If you would like to be included on emails related to a potential Old First sewing group, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
