Michael and Maranda are co-teaching the Confirmation class this year. It’s when we start treating our children like adults, as they are preparing to join as adult members, with all the rights and responsibilities.
This year we are looking at a big class of 7 or 8 confirmands. We are honored. (It’s not too late if there are others who wish to join.)
They will begin this coming Sunday with a breakfast for the young adults and their parents in the Fox Building at 9:45. It will include introductions and some explanation of the confirmation process at Old First. Then Michael is asking the adults present to share some of their faith, and what they hope for our young adults in including faith in their adult lives (because our young people too infrequently hear our adults speak about their religious experiences, beliefs, commitments).
Please pray for our confirmands this year.
PS – Pic is of our last confirmation class, with the teachers (and without Eric, who was missing from the photo!).
