The Old First Board of Elders is calling a special congregational meeting, to be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011, immediately following the 11 a.m. worship service.
The purpose of the meeting is to consider whether Old First, as a congregation, should become a member of the interfaith community organization Philadelphians Organized to Witness Empower and Rebuild (P.O.W.E.R.).
“Information about POWER has been and will be made available to the congregation, and a resolution concerning Old First’s membership in POWER will be distributed prior to the congregational meeting.
