Congregational Meeting 06.12 after Worship, So Capital Campaign Construction Can Begin

The Capital Campaign Construction Committee (CCCC) is meeting and planning.

The first report out to the congregation will take place at the
Congregational meeting being called by the Elders for June 12, 2016 immediately following
worship.

The subjects of the meeting will include a report out from the
Capital Campaign (CC) Treasurer on how the CC funds have been spent to date,
and what we have available now and project to have available going forward
for the work to be done.

Following that, the CCCC will report out on proposed work to be done this summer
including lighting upgrades in the sanctuary and some proposals based on improving
energy efficiency as well.

The CCCC is currently soliciting bids on modernization of the elevator (and
will be looking for input from those who rely upon it as to when the best
time to do this work will be), and replacing and/or restoring the windows
on the sanctuary building.

Research is being done on the sound system upgrades so that a bid proposal
can go out.

In the next month, the CCCC intends to put together a bid package for the
masonry, exterior painting, soffit repair and other building exterior work
the congregation approved be done in January 2016.

It is our plan to ask for another congregational meeting in early September
with a proposal for completion of the remaining Phase I work for approval.

We encourage you to attend the meeting on June 12th to hear what we know
so far and to ask questions about the planning process and the work we are proposing be done this summer and then to vote
on the proposal.

See you there,
the Capital Campaign Construction Committee
