Cooking Up a Different Way to Make Cascarones – Family Style

The staff is looking ahead to Easter and the idea of getting families involved in making the Cascarones came up.  We were wondering if you all might like to decorate and fill the eggs?  Many parents have had the dilemma of figuring out what to do with the hard boiled eggs that look so pretty on Easter, and that everyone had so much fun coloring.  What if you colored empty eggs and turned them into Cascarones for our Easter celebration?  You’d still have the fun but not the hassle of leftover boiled eggs.

We could include instructions in the bulletin, we have lots of tissue paper that is used to seal the stuffed eggs, and it’s a great way to recycle the paper in your home shredder.

Email Teresa at, or let Pastor Michael know if your family could do a couple dozen eggs.  We need 20 dozen eggs, maybe a couple extra to account for breakage.
