Old First and Christ Church collected a TRUCK LOAD of donations for Cradles to Crayons! There was everything from baby swings, to dressy outfits for youngsters. Many books were donated, as well as shoes and accessories. Every possible category had a bag or two full of items.
A small group from Old First made the short walk to 2nd and Market to join the garden sorting party at Christ Church. We ate cookies, had lemonade and sorted every donation in just under an hour. There were dozens of volunteers from Christ Church helping us get through the items.
Thank you to everyone who donated. Your donations will go directly to the warehouse and then will be distributed to local youth who are in need of clothing, books and other necessities.
