Under the leadership of Zeb Young, Wellspring coordinator, this weekend’s work camp from St. Luke Lutheran Church, Williamsport, PA, moved Wellspring’s stock of food and clothing from the Christian Education building into storage in the Gene Montague Room, (a.k.a. “The Shed”).
With that seemingly simple move, we accomplish three improvements to our Wellspring and Christian Education programs:
- We can now easily serve guests to Wellspring’s weekly Food & Clothing Cupboard in the Social Hall. Providing this service in a larger facility will give us the opportunity to interact with each other more freely and comfortably.
- We can accommodate larger weekend work camps during the winter as all four rooms of the CE building are now available for sleeping accommodations. Formerly one room needed to be reserved for Saturday’s cupboard.
- Space in the CE Building formerly used by the Cupboard will give more storage for the Sunday School in the rooms it occupies.
Thank you Zeb! Thank you Pastors Anke & Erik Deibler and the young people from St. Lukes!
