Dedicating Flowers for Easter

Dedicating Flowers for Easter

Lent brings the “wilderness plants” back to the Sanctuary.

On Palm Sunday, they are replaced by, not surprisingly, the Palms (sometimes the song as well!).

The chancel gets barer for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.

And then on Easter morning, as Jesus has burst forth from the grave, the flowers are bursting out up front with color and aroma.

It’s out tradition that we dedicate the flowers on the chancel on Easter — either in memory of those who have passed away or in honor of those who are still among us. The flower dedication form will be in the Sunday bulletin for the next 3 weeks. Please fill it out, attach a donation check and either place it in the collection plate during service or send it into the office. We need all dedications by Monday. March 19 in order to make sure they are in the Easter bulletin.

If you have any questions, please speak with Michael or call the church office to speak with Woody.
