EASTER OUTDOOR SERVICE “BROADCAST” LIVE (for people who cannot join us in person)
We cannot be sure for some time yet, but we feel it is more probable that the Sanctuary will not yet be ready for us on Easter. The rough framing of all the carpentry will be done this week, we hope. But we need a city inspection before we can begin with the sound insulation or the new decking that will complete the rough-in carpentry for the redesigned Sanctuary. And then the floor crew can get started, but they have estimated that they will need a full month to lay the new floor and do the finish work on the chancel.
But we are absolutely committed to having Easter be our first Sunday worship service “regathered in person” – after the winter weather and the Omicron variant (we are planning that Maundy Thursday will be outside too). We will organize worship in front of the building like we did for Christmas Eve (because we can put out more seats even socially distanced).
We also think that we are going to be able to broadcast the service live via zoom. It won’t be the most sophisticated broadcast ever, but it will be the sights and sounds of our Easter congregation celebrating Resurrection. Adam and Michael are probably going to need help pulling this one off: if you are willing to work on our ad hoc Tech Team for Easter Sunday, please let Michael know.
