I stopped by the church office yesterday and saw dozens of empty egg shells, ready to be filled and made into cascarones–enough for each of us to crush at least one on Easter morning.
Julie B happened by and asked what became of the innards. We don’t waste them, I assured her! They become the featured item at our Easter breakfast at 10 am in the Social Hall. Mindy has crew of volunteers lined up to transform all those eggs into egg casseroles (vegetarian and meat options).
The rest of the meal, though is up to us. So as you prepare for Easter at your house, also think about a dish you can share with your church family. Feel free to bring your favorite Easter Brunch recipe, or use the following as a guideline:
If your last name begins with:
A-M: Danish, donuts, quick bread, coffee cake, etc.
N-R: Orange juice or other juice, milk, “box o’ joe,” etc.
S-Z: Fruit salad or cheese tray
See you on Easter!
