The first of the season’s Gardening Days will take place on Friday, March 30 beginning about 9:30 a.m. A group will gather to begin getting the beds in the front courtyard organized– cleaning up the beds, clearing winter mulch. They also hope to begin laying the drip irrigation system that will make keeping the beds in the front courtyard watered more ecologically sound.
There are plans in the works to restart the flower dedication ministry for Sunday worship. Part of that plan includes live plants that will then be added to the gardens in the front courtyard. Enjoy your donations over time, and also support greening our globe by choosing live plants instead of cut flowers…
A second gardening day, to begin working on the vegetable gardens, is scheduled for after worship on Sunday, April 15. That means, if you wish, you have even more of an excuse that Sunday to dress down for church!
If you want to become involved in our gardening efforts, please speak with Janice Smith, Val Solomon or the pastor.
