There was snow and sleet and some rain – but the show went on! The Mott Campus Clowns service camp held a fundraiser in our Social Hall on Saturday. Kids were able to get their faces painted, enjoy cotton candy, have a balloon animal made and enjoy an anti-bullying skit. We have over a dozen families attend the event and everyone was thrilled with the event. There are always a few people who are scared of clowns, but even the most timid (our pastor and SLG leader) came out and said hello to the troupe.
The weather did keep many folks from attending, but those who did come out had an amazing time. The room was full of smiles and laughter and people unfamiliar to Old First. Our advertising at events throughout the week paid off and we introduced many new families to our church. The event raised over $100 for the shelter, but it was a great Family Fun Day regardless of the profits.
Thank you to everyone who donated time and energy to this event!
