Instead of our customary Midday Meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, this month Bob Polk has invited us to a Black History event at Cathedral Village Sunday February 26th. The event is: A Tribute to Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr . The Rev Mark Kelly Tyler of Mother Bethel SME Church will speak and the Choir of Metropolitian Church will sing hymns and spirituals.
Bob has invited us to have lunch there and than go to the event. We will need to leave Old First by 12 noon to get there in time for lunch. The whole day will be from 1pm to 3:30pm. I know that’s a long day but we will be resting after lunch until the event. Or if you really think it’s too long, meet us at Old First by 11:50pm and leave with us than (Michael forgive me for suggesting this!) . I need to know how many are going ASAP so give me or Theresa a call. This way Bob can make the reservations for lunch timely. Nancy and I will be driving and those who live out that way will meet us there. So a ride is available to those who need it.
