This session concludes our study of Hebrew scriptures in the Forgiving Victim program. Exiles return to Jerusalem. A text-based religion develops, featuring Moses and the Torah. Yet ferment continues. The Book of Job questions the assumption that good behavior leads to a good life. The Book of Ruth challenges racial purity and critiques exclusion of others. The Maccabees introduces the idea of life beyond death, particularly when standing up against persecution. The video ends with an examination of the story about Moses and the Burning Bush. We meet in the Christian Eduction building after worship.
