As many of you know we frequently ask for donations for one of our biggest Wellspring Outreach projects, the Saturday morning clothing closet. Every Saturday we give out clothes and toiletries to approximately 80 people, most of whom are men. And what we are able to give out is based on the donations we have received. As the seasons are changing, we need to add to our list of needs to include warmer clothes such as sweaters and coats Most of the time we are in constant need of more clothing to distribute. But now due to a very large donation from Glenside UCC (who help this project in various ways), we have more than enough, yet we still need the help of our own congregation.
When clothing comes in, it gets given to us in bags or boxes. But to give these clothes out, they need to be sorted so things can run smoothly on Saturday morning. And that is where our congregation comes in. After church on November 24th, I need you to stay after worship for reasons other than fellowship hour. I am asking you to help sort this influx of donations so that our Saturday mornings can continue to run smoothly and so we can keep track of what we have and what we still may need. So in this season of Thanksgiving, we should also think of those who are still in need. Whether you are only able to stay for 20 minutes, or if you can devote an hour or two, all are welcome.
