G.M.N.O. Outings: Friday, March 15 & April 5

Ok, so a couple of you have noted the the gay men have not organized a night out on the town lately. Others have noticed that there are new folks at church that they’d like a chance to get to meet (Sunday morning, sometimes even fellowship hour, isn’t an easy way to get to talk.)

So, we’re planning two G.M.N.O.s. What’s that? Gay Men’s Night Out. While they do end up mostly the gay men from church, because it’s church, we welcome anyone. You know the UCC phrase “No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.” (Michael has a friend who laughs and says that the people who fear the UCC is too gay-friendly hear that last clause as “or where you are on the Kinsey Scale!”)

First, on Friday, March 15 at 8 pm, we will meet at Westbury (261 South 13th Street), and sometime after that head out someplace near for dinner. If you have any questions about this evening, please speak to Mike Wass.

Then, after Easter, we’ll gather again on Friday, April 5. Meeting up at Knock (225 South 12th Street at 8), sometime thereafter we will head to dinner. If you have any questions about this evening, please speak to Woody Ulmer.

Why two meetings so close? Well, we owe ourselves some, since we’ve not been organizing them lately! Also, a recent influx of gay men who are in “a family way” … two opportunities might make it easier for dads who have to arrange babysitting. Or couples could take turns staying home with the kids or going out. (Life in all its increasing complexity couldn’t be more delightful!)

These outings are really open and welcoming. Please feel free to invite friends to join us… And we look forward to seeing you…
