Summer is passed (sounds like the beginning of the Song of Solomon!), but the church’s grounds always need some work! (Or, another way to put it, more confessionally, we’re always running behind.)
One member of our community fantasizes about leaving the church a gift in her will that would allow us to have professional gardeners making our grounds look their best. But we don’t want to lose anyone. So, until that happens, it’s up to our volunteer crews.
Janice is organizing a garden work day this Sunday after worship. Come for the church’s 287th anniversary, to hear some Daehler stories from the pulpit, and then put on your work gloves and help us tidy up a bit. We’re trying to plant new bushes underneath the Fox Building’s office windows, among other projects. There’s always enough work for everyone who can help out!
