Gardening Again After Church this Sunday, 05.06

What we planted a few weeks ago– both in our urban farm and in the front flower gardens seems to be taking root and prospering…

This Sunday, after worship, we’re going to plant some seeds: arugula, kale, lettuce, snap peas, spinach. Seed planting is an easy gardening day. So if you’ve never even worked with us, why not hang around after fellowship hour? It’s a good way to get to know people better. And just spend some nice time outdoors talking.

For anyone who is feeling more ambitious, we have two heavier projects. We still have one garden bed in the back that needs to be emptied and refilled with fresh soil. Also, we’re trying to run lines in the front courtyard whereby the the garden beds can be on an automatic, soaker sprinkler system. It will save water and work, but first it’s a big project. If you have muscle to exercise and want to set your sights on a big project, please speak with Janice or Michael.
