The new year for Sunday School is quickly approaching, we will get started at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9.
There are new projects and plans in the works to make this year more participative, engaging and interactive for our students. However, we still need help from the church to be able to successfully accomplish all of our goals. How you can help:
Teach a Sunday School Class
We are still looking for a few more Sunday School teachers that can commit to most Sundays. Ideally most classes will have two teachers.
Donate Old Furniture
We are interested in furnishing some of the classrooms in an effort to make Sunday School a more comfortable and welcoming space for the students. We are looking for items such as small couches, love-seats, comfy chairs, bean bag chairs and floor pillows.
Share your project, song or activity with a Sunday School class. If you have seen or participated in something you think was great – share it!
Invite a child or family to become a part of our Sunday School
As we get started, take a minute and think to yourself, “Is there a child or a family that I really believe might be helped by participating in our Sunday School?” It’s a particularly timely question as Monique and her family have made their way back to Old First: she was one of the kids Gene Montague picked up and brought to church. Now she’s going to teach Sunday School. You may not be able to transport a whole bunch of kids each week. But are there people who might need you to invite them?
Thanks for your help!
