Education is a primary value at Old First, because we believe that it enriches people and their communities, and all our lives.
We will be honoring and sending off Trixie Steiner-Rose as she graduates from Philadelphia’s Central High School.
Trixie will be attending Temple University, with a President’s scholarship to the Temple Honors program in the Fall.

- Barbara Gurley, graduated from New Life Bible Institute Missionary Training School. What new ministries will this lead to?
- Dana Haberern, BA Rutgers University, Theater Arts. Dana plans to head to NYC for an acting career.
- Griffin Vernor Drutchas, Temple University Beasley School of Law, Intellectual Property + Cyberlaw: Trial Advocacy and Transactions. His next hurdle is studying for the bar exam this summer (and caring for a newborn).
- Haeman Hong-Shin, Masters of Divinity from New York Theological Seminary. Haeman and Sunghye are relocated to NYC in just a few weeks as he pursues a Masters of Sacred Theology at Union Theological Seminary.
- Lorena Haberern, BS Ursinus College BS Psychology, and BA German Language. Lorena will be spending the next year in Germany, near Bielefeld, as an au pair.
- Marta Rose, Warren Wilson College, Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. Marta will continue teaching creative writing to undergraduate students at Philadelphia University.
- Patrick Marcoux, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Master’s of Counseling Psychology. Patrick will begin a Ph.D. in counseling psych. at Western Michigan University.
