Jean’s family has completed making arrangements for celebrating Jean’s life.
Her ashes have been interred in the repository in the front courtyard of the church. You might notice as well that the repository plantings have been freshened up, mostly with contributions Jackie has made in honor of Jean and the others who are laid to rest there. But if you look carefully, you will also see the white flowers there that were on the communion 
table last Sunday as we remembered Jean in worship.
The family will be having a private memorial service at Old First on Saturday, September 10.
With the family’s permission, Jackie and Michael will plan a memorial celebration for Old Firsters to give thanks for Jean’s life later in September.
Please keep Jean’s immediate family, her husband Jim, and her sons, Christopher and Patrick, as well as the rest of her family and friends, particularly Jackie, in your prayers in this time of their loss.
