As we announced in church last Sunday, Linda Waters passed away on Friday, Oct. 10th after a short illness.

With much help from her good friend Josephine, we were able to get out word to other friends in her various communities, first about her illness and then her death.
People from church and other friends were able to visit her in hospice before she passed. And we are hoping that those who should have heard have now gotten word of her passing.
Linda was predeceased by her son about two years ago. She doesn’t have any other family that are known to us.
Linda had not joined Old First, but through Joesphine and Alex, she had become a regular part of our community. In fact, we were her faith community for these last few years.
But Old First will be hosting a funeral service and collation for her on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m. There will be a simple collation afterwards. Friends and church family are invited and invited to share memories and thanksgiving in the service.
Her regal stature and loving smile will be missed, but we are glad to have had our lived enriched by her presence with us.
