Living the Questions, Adult Forum Helps Us Better Understand our Faith (this Sun., 11.04 @ 10 am)

Bastian Liu will lead the second half of the first session of the Living the Questions 2.0 to adult forum this Sunday 10 am in the Social Hall. But, even if you missed his leading of the first half, on Sept. 30, this Sunday’s session will make sense.

One person whose never been involved in Adult Forum before, walked through the Social Hall during the first session. He slowed down to listen. And eventually, he went over and joined the circle. He later explained, “That was really great; interesting, and I’d never thought about faith in that way before.”

For those who attended the first four Monday evening sessions a couple years ago, this will be a reintroduction to this excellent DVD series. But as Alice said, “It’s good to begin at the beginning.”

What will you experience with LTQ2? You will find a means of building and informing your faith. Often progressive Christians are not so conversant in their faith. We “kind of know” what we believe, but often we can’t explain why or how we can believe that (especially in the face of more conservative Christian claims that only very different belief or understandings are faithful!).

LTQ2 is an open-minded alternative to studies that attempt to give participants all the answers. Instead of pat answers, an outstanding group of scholars and theologians offer their insights, and invite the participants to begin thinking about evolving faith, questions, and concrete spiritual practices.
