Charge / Questions for the week beginning July 3:
1) It’s too easy to see in other people wolves (that which tears down and destroys), but can we identify some of the wolves inside of us… our fears, our insecurities, our lack of confidence, our blaming others… In light of Margaret’s sermon, can you recognize and describe how some of the wolves inside you are successful in stymying, misleading or destroying you?
2) Margaret in her sermon talked about how we are called as Lambs to stand up to the wolves. If ‘being Lambs’ is about our capacity to do good, what are the times and places where you can be a Lamb? Could you practice and strengthen that capacity this week?
If you want, you can send me your responses (to be kept confidential or to be shared), or simply comment on the FB post about these 2 questions…
(In the May 10 E-pistle “How to Do Church,” I promised to end each service with two questions that help worshipers make specific connections message in worship that day and their daily lives. They questions will be posted each Sunday, both on our website and on the church’s FB page, that you might remember and use them to bring your faith to greater relevancy in “the rest of your life.”)
