We have something new in the display case near the elevator in the Lower Narthex. While cleaning out the vault, our archivist, Nancy D. found some memorial plaques that moved with us from our previous lodgings at 10th and Wallace and 50th and Locust. The plaques were used to memorialize donations by individuals, families and Sunday School classes. Those memorialized include Anna Adolph, Lilly Berkenstock and Mrs. George Herbert. We know that some plaques honor donations for an organ, a sound system and chancel furnishings, but we don’t know what the Crusaders or the Ladies Aid Society were remembered for. Stop by and see a bit of our history – including a cup that honors an Old First sports team.
