This week Old First is launching a new communications tool, called the Online Social Hall. We now have a new addition to the Web site’s main menu. See it above this article? It says “Members’ Area.”
If you’re a member of our congregation, you should receive an email message this week inviting you to join the Online Social Hall.
From the moment you receive that message, your email address will be included in Old First’s mailing list, just like it is now. Note that the email address to send messages to the group will change. The new address will be included in the welcome message that you receive.
In addition to the mailing list via email that we’re all used to, the Online Social Hall is a password-protected Web site that offers some additional features, including an online photo directory, a space for sharing files and Web space for each of our ministry teams and fellowship groups.
We hope that you’ll join, which you can do a couple of ways:
- Plunge right in. From that email message, click the link to enroll. You’ll need to create a password, fill in some basic info about yourself and upload a photo.
- Let us help you. During Fellowship Hour on 12/4, 12/11 and 12/18, Old Firsters familiar with the process will be available in the REAL Social Hall to walk you through the process.
We anticipate that some of you might have questions about why we made this change and how we picked the platform. Click here for some answers.
If you don’t receive an email invitation on November 30, but think you should have, or you have additional questions, contact Suzanne Cole.
