In our 3rd season of using space at church to practice the stewardship of growing one’s own food or eating locally grown vegetables, Old First’s vegetable gardens on the eastside patio and behind the back of the church are planted and growing. We’ve added an additional bed out back. And improved the automatic watering system. Many thanks to the gardening crew, especially to Rich F. who is using his skills as a former Vermonter and love of gardening to increase our green thumb. Look forward to fresh produce being given out to the folks who come to the Saturday Cupboard and a mini-green market available at fellowship hour through the fall.
