Karen Heller, columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, visited Old First’s shelter recently and wrote a reflection about the new partnership with Student-Run Emergency Housing Unit of Philadelphia (SREHUP), which coordinates a cadre of student volunteers to help serve meals and visit with the shelter residents each evening.
