Dear Old First and Friends of Old First,
I hope everyone is enjoying summer! I’m reaching out to ask for your help. Currently, we’re in need of volunteers to help with Saturday Morning Breakfast.
In particular, we’re in need of volunteers to help sort, fold and distribute clothes, as well as distributing toiletries to our Saturday Morning guests (later in the morning placing both clothing and toiletries in their respective bins to store in the shed).
If you are not up for this type of outreach, but know of someone who is, please send them our way.
Last but not least, we’re also in need of men’s socks, underwear, deodorant and disposable razors.
I am very happy to announce that because of you, Old First and friends of Old First, who have been so incredibly supportive and generous, our clothing shed has yet to be empty. Each and every Saturday morning we’ve been able to give every one of our guests what they’ve requested and given them some much needed items. I’m confident that we’ll keep this momentum going for the remainder of the summer, into the fall and throughout the winter.
As always, if you’re around one Saturday morning, please feel free to drop in and say hi. Or if you’d like to drop off your donations to the church office- our doors are open Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 3:00pm.
