Dear Old First and Friends of Old First,
Good news! Our efforts have paid off! Our freezer is stocked with yummy casseroles, lasagna and lots of bread!
Of course that is not to say that we place the needs of our shelter guests to the back of our minds. As you know it is cold and flue season. So if you’re at the grocery store and see that sale for orange or apple juice — don’t hesitate to pick a few up. I know that our guests will especially appreciate it.
All in all, I’m so thankful and appreciative of all your efforts. Thank you everyone for your contributions and your continued thoughtfulness. Thus far, from the opening of our Winter Shelter on November 1st to date, the men of our shelter have never gone a single day wanting for food or any other item, including socks, blankets, jackets, and toiletries. We’ve stepped up as a community and put love first!
Thank you again
Alesha, Outreach Coordinator
