Some of us at Old First Reformed United Church of Christ feel like we need to come together to talk about what we individually and collectively might do in response to the murders last week at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
While this conversation arises out of prayers of confusion, frustration, anger and grief expressed last Sunday in church, it is not particularly a faith-limited or even faith-based conversation, and we welcome anyone who would like to join us on Sunday, Dec. 23, immediately after the service, around 12:30. We will gather in the social hall, and then determine where the best place to sit and talk might be.
We have no specific agenda, just a desire to start a conversation that might empower us individually and collectively to DO SOMETHING.
Please join us if this sounds like something that might be helpful to you as you think about your own response. And please feel free to invite others.
