The Rummage Sale was held this past Saturday from 8am-3:30pm (we closed a bit early due to fear of rain). We had a wide variety of items for sale and we sold the majority of the donations for a grand total of $627!! That’s not bad for less than eight hours of actual selling. The items that were left over were donated to Goodwill and Philly AIDS Thrift where I’m sure they’ll have great homes with new owners.
There were many congregation members that showed up to help the Shelter Ministry Team with the Rummage Sale and we appreciate it more than you know! It wouldn’t have flowed as smoothly without everyone helping us out. This was my first ever Rummage Sale and I consider it a success.
We met several new people and Nancy gave a tour of church to those who were interested in church history. It was truly a blessed day. We saw a few of those new faces with us at worship on Sunday. Couldn’t ask for better than that, right?
Thanks for all of your support in helping us with this project to benefit the men’s shelter!
