What Are We Doing Well? Where Can We Improve? (We Need Your Input)

In honor of Old First’s 289th Anniversary, as part of Pastor Michael’s sermon on Sunday the 25th, he asked people to share what they see about our church, to look with searching and sacred sight beyond what they normally see and miss (like we wish, from the sermon, that the rich man had been able to see Lazarus in life, and even more so in death). People were also asked to share what they recognized, by filling out a questionnaire that was an insert in the bulletin. Two simple questions were posed:

  • What are we doing really well?
  • What do we need to improve?

Michael would like to give everyone a chance to participate in this reflection, and since not everyone was in worship on Sunday, we’ve created a link so that you can respond electronically. Just click HERE, and you’ll have the chance to respond, to share your thoughts with the our leaders and the rest of the congregation. You may also write your responses on paper and put them in the offering next Sunday.

Results — including those submitted electronically — will be published soon. They will also be the jumping off point for an upcoming church leaders retreat where evaluation of where we are and where we want to be (or where God wants us to be) will be on the day’s agenda.
