Old First received 2015 stewardship pledges in worship last Sunday,Dec. 7, and the initial results are promising. A little behind last year as of the first Sunday, but we expected that: the Capital Campaign prevented us from doing as much lead-up to our Pledge Sunday. Look for a full report in the next week or so.
In the meantime, if you have not made a pledge, we accept them at any time! They are particularly helpful right now as the Admin. SLG and the Elders are working on the 2015 budget in preparation for the Annual Meeting in January.
You can make a pledge by completing a commitment card (there are cards in the literature rack, next to the hallway door in the Lower Narthex, or you may pledge on-line following these simple directions).
And remember:
Stewardship is not one more financial obligation. Rather, it is spiritual and material privilege… to have enough to be able to give to God in light of our thanksgiving for all that has been given to us.
