Yes we soon go to early summer hours worship. It’s easy to remember this year: June 10, we begin at 10 a.m.
But neither that, nor summer itself suggests that church is winding down. Believe it or not– we meet every Sunday all summer! I’m just joking, of course. No, we really do worship every week! You know that.
And, I pray, you will join us when you can. Your presence helps the other worshipers– there is a power in the gathering. But it also helps you– I’m convinced that worship experience multiplies itself. What I mean is attending worship twice equals more than twice the nurture, support, learning, challenge and thanksgiving of attending once.
To make summer attendance more of an event, we have some special occasions to get the season started:
June 3: as well as Anna, Madelyn and Warren’s confirmation, we will be celebrating the ministry of the choir, and thanking them for all their hard work towards worship leadership this past year. Please show them your appreciation.
June 10: before the New Member’s Class, in worship we will be recognizing the Sunday School Students’ accomplishments and their teachers’ faithful service.
June 17: we will recognize any and all members of this community who graduate this year. If you graduated or know someone in our community who has, please check with Mindy in the church office so we can be sure that everyone is acknowledged.
June 24: we will be commissioning the 9 travelers to Nicaragua: in the people they meet and the service they perform. may they not only carry but share some of the faith of this place.
