"Taking the Bible Seriously," the Feb. 28 Segment of Living the Questions

The second gathering of our new study opportunity, Living the Questions, meets again on Monday, Feb. 28. It’s not too late to join! Especially if you are one of those people who wishes you knew, read, understand the Bible better.

We will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner. The study will run from 6.45 to 8 p.m. Street parking will be available. If you need child care, please contact Mindy by Mon., Feb 21.

The whole course is 22 sessions, which means we’re going to be spreading it out over years. As a matter of fact, after this session, there will be a hiatus for Lent (and for Lenten Devotions) and schedule the next Living the Questions segment for the 4th Monday in May (5/23). We’ll just keep plodding our way through this course at our own pace: like life, spiritual growth comes with time.

But if, as a mainline liberal or progressive Christian, you ever worry you do not know your own faith sufficiently– what it offers, how it calls you to follow, even what it’s all about, join this study and explore. This program won’t offer you someone else’s answer, but it promises to ground you and empower you in the on-going religious conversation that our progressive Christianity offers.
